"In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God"

God is a Word*

Q. What is God?

A. As the Bible says – God is word:

A word used by different people
to designate their different ideas
of a transcendent power;

An omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotence
which they may intuit, accept or reject,
but can’t ever comprehend.

Nor can such transcendent power
ever be aptly named.

For any designation would
constitute limitation
of the illimitable –

THAT.

So, whether or not the “universe” was created by God,

“God” is a word created by humans.

But, just as ‘a rose by any other name is the same’,
However humankind calls or tries to imagine it

There exists an indescribable infinitely potential and supreme Power:

An Absolute Reality and Existence, and Origin of All,
as

THAT.

Footnote.

*Innumerable words – God, Love, Nature, etc. – may be used to signify an ineffably infinite divine Power or any of its infinite potential aspects. Or as in the Jewish tradition it may be acknowledged that no name can denominate “THAT” which is beyond conception or expression – since naming limits the illimitable and ineffable Infinite Reality.

Ron’s Comments about “God is a Word”

Dear Friends,

The word “God” is extremely common. Countless people commonly curse, exclaim, read, think, or pray to “God”. “In God we trust” appears on all US currency and coins.

But who of us has deeply considered what “God” really means to us or other life-forms? How many times have we unthinkingly uttered or heard such exclamations as “thank God!” “God bless you”, “God love you” – or even curses including the word “God” – without wondering about their significance.

Encouraged by my beloved Guruji I have spent much of my post-retirement life-period reflecting about “God”, and other synonymous words. And I’ve found that our beliefs and concepts about “God” evolve as we evolve spiritually; and that continually contemplating God as non-duality Reality furthers our evolution.

The above poetic essay was composed to propose that “God” is a word used by different people to designate their different ideas of a transcendent power, which ultimately is beyond words. Thus, it explains that humans created the word “God” – with thoughts from ruminations, revelations, intuitions, and speculations, paradoxically trying to identify THAT which is beyond words, beyond all thought.

It is offered to encourage exploration of our common inner Divinity and SELF-identity – in furtherance of our (conscious or subliminal) universal longing for a state of ONENESS with Divinity – with “God” or THAT.

With our continuing reflections and thoughts about “God”, may we increasingly discover and experience our joyously loving common inner Divinity – until ultimately we non-dually melt and merge immortally as ONE Divine LOVE.

And so may  it be!

Interdependence Way, On Independence Day
~ A Revolution of Consciousness

Dear Friends,

Happy US July 4th Independence Day holiday!

This posting is dedicated to advancing our unprecedented and imminent “critical mass” realization that independence is impossible; that everyone/everything is interconnected and interdependent; so that no-one/nothing perceivable exists permanently or independently.

On July 4, 1776, thirteen American colonies declared their independence from British royal rule, in an historic document inspired by Thomas Paine’s Quaker philosophy and written by Thomas Jefferson. The Declaration of Independence proclaimed that under “the laws of nature and of nature’s God” government is established by people to secure their life, liberty, and happiness, and is to be overthrown as illegitimate if it no longer does that.

The US founding fathers recognized, that governments and their chartered transnational organizations do not exist by Divine right; that they are established by people to serve people – not to exploit or oppress them – and that they are illegitimate unless they serve human rights and happiness.

Since 1776, “the laws of nature and of nature’s God” have prevailed, but the world has changed immensely: The thirteen North American colonies have become the richest most powerful nation in world history – an American empire much vaster than the British empire which it succeeded. Human population has grown meteorically, from approximately 800 million (with 2.5 million people inhabiting American colonies) to over 7.9 billion and growing rapidly.

Through amazing technological and scientific advances the world has become much smaller and most humans have become part of an instantly interconnected and largely interdependent global community, sharing critical information in an unprecedented new age of world-wide ecologic, economic, political and social crises and opportunities. Yet despite this amazing technological advancement much of humanity continues to suffer illusionary psychological separation from each other and Nature, fostering insanely unsustainable ecological desecration of our precious planet, and barbaric exploitation of vulnerable beings and other life-forms, which catastrophically threaten unprecedented destruction of all Earth life.

And as in 1776 such separation insanity is still perpetrated and permitted by a few autocratic and plutocratic political “leaders”, and greedy transnational institutions evading equitable taxation. And yet they are still allowed by most of humankind to detrimentally dominate our world.

However, in the almost 250 years since 1776, there has been an unprecedented gradual awakening of humanity, and we are now experiencing a revolution of human consciousness.

We have recently entered an extraordinary “new normal” post-pandemic period of unprecedented worldwide social and cultural unrest. Deeply disturbed by irrational and immoral interruptions of their normal lives more and more people are psychologically awakening to our sacred connection with, and deep moral responsibility to cherish and preserve, all life on our precious planet Earth.

Moreover we are now experiencing unprecedented Aquarian age cosmic energies, and auspicious cyclical and astrological planetary alignments, exceptionally advantageous to spiritual evolution. These unprecedented energies and rare alignments are elevating a “critical mass” of humankind to ascend from illusory 3D body/mind or brain/mind consciousness toward previously unimagined 5D heart/mind telepathic awareness.

And confronted with imminent catastrophe humankind are realizing (as did visionary Thomas Pain) that under “the laws of nature and of nature’s God” independence is impossible; that everything and everyone is interdependent, not independent.

Prior to 1776 Thomas Paine realized and wrote that:

“No country can be called free which is governed by an absolute power; and it matters not whether it be an absolute royal power or an absolute legislative power, as the consequences will be the same to the people.”

“To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead.”

“The greatest tyrannies are always perpetuated in the name of the noblest causes.”

“The World is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.”

“Our greatest enemies, the ones we must fight most often, are within.”

“When it shall be said in any country in the world my poor are happy; neither ignorance nor distress is to be found among them; my jails are empty of prisoners, my streets of beggars; the aged are not in want; the taxes are not oppressive; the rational world is my friend, because I am a friend of its happiness: When these things can be said, there may that country boast its Constitution and its Government”

~ Thomas Paine

Impelled by an otherwise imminent catastrophe ending Earth-life as we’ve known it, our global human family must NOW transcend critically mistaken illusory beliefs of our separate independence, with realization that independence is impossible; that everyone/everything is interconnected and interdependent; so that no-one/nothing perceivable exists permanently or independently.

Thereby, we can and we shall use this rare opportunity to revolutionarily and compassionately transform the world!

Invocation

With malice toward none, and empathy for all,

Let us end the iniquity of inequity in our society,

So “that government of the people, by the people,
for the people, shall not perish from the Earth”

We have created a society  that honors the servant
and has forgotten the gift.”
~ Albert Einstein
“I think with intuition.
The basis of true thinking is intuition.
Indeed, it is not intellect,
but intuition which advances humanity.
Intuition tells a man his purpose in life.
One never goes wrong following his feelings.
I don’t mean emotions, I mean feelings,
for feelings and intuition are one.”

~ Albert Einstein

How Shall We Solve Our Planetary Problems?

Q. How can humankind resolve its critical planetary problems?

A. By addressing them intuitively from elevated heart levels of awareness.

The critical problems now confronting humanity have arisen from low ego-mind levels of human consciousness, which must be transcended for our peaceful survival on planet Earth.

As Albert Einstein aptly observed:
“No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”

To resolve critical human problems we must elevate Humanity’s level of consciousness, from the human mind – which is thought – to the human heart, which is intuition. And then, with “a genuine sense of universal responsibility that is based on love, compassion and clear awareness” [Dalai Lama], we can intuitively and cooperatively resolve our problems.

Only with feelings, insights and actions arising from loving kindness and compassion for all Life everywhere, shall humankind truly transcend and cooperatively resolve its critical ecologic and economic problems.

With opened hearts we can and we shall resolve our critical planetary problems.

Invocation

May we open our hearts
to our innate empathy, kindness and compassion.

And with benevolent and focused intention,
may we so realize our ONENESS with everyone and everything;

And thereby lovingly resolve our critical planetary problems
to bless all Life everywhere – as LOVE!

And so it shall be!

Introduction to Open Heart Therapy

Dear Friends,

The following poem was inspired by my post-spiritual awakening realization that it was only a broken heart (from a very painful divorce), that had opened my spiritual heart to previously repressed and inexperienced deep devotional feelings and frequent tears; that a broken heart had triggered an evolutionary healing: a ‘‘breakdown-breakthrough” from decades of repressive ego-mind delusions.

With comments and quotes after the poem, I suggest that opening our spiritual hearts can enable us to envision and actualize an Aquarian Golden Age transcending current worldwide insanity which threatens all life on our precious planet.

And so may it be!

Open Heart Therapy

We must feel our heart
to heal our heart.
Feeling hastens healing.

A closed heart is a cold heart.
An open heart is a warm heart –
a compassionate heart.

As our heart ever opens,
its capacity for compassion ever grows.

As its boundaries expand,
so do its possibilities ever expand.

An opened heart
is an illumined heart;
a limitless, boundless heart;
a loving heart.

Ron’s Reflections on Open Heart Therapy for Awakening to an Aquarian Golden Age.

Dear Friends,

We live in an age of mental malaise. Delusional human behaviors are threatening all Earth life as we have known it. For our peaceful survival, we must transcend these insane behaviors and resolve the problems they have caused.

As Albert Einstein aptly observed:

“No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.” …

“The release of atom power ..changed everything except our way of thinking …
the solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind.”

Thus for our peaceful survival on planet Earth, the critical problems now confronting humanity must be transcended – societally and individually – through spiritually elevated heartfelt awareness.

According to His Holiness the Dalai Lama,

“Ultimately, the decision to save the environment must come from the human heart. [From] a genuine sense of universal responsibility that is based on love, compassion and clear awareness.”

And that for such a heart level of universal planetary responsibility we need ethics based on spirituality “beyond religion” – because religion alone “is no longer adequate”.

How can this happen?

With ever expanding empathy for all life everywhere we must follow ‘the Golden Rule’. For millennia wisdom teachers from virtually all enduring ethical, religious, and spiritual traditions have proposed a simple ethical rule which if consciously and conscientiously followed can change the world.

Its essence is that we do no harm; that we treat all sentient beings with the same dignity that we wish for ourselves and that they wish for themselves.

Though easy to understand, this Golden Rule of reciprocal empathy can not easily be followed until we awaken within – beyond our “optical delusion” of separateness – to our collective spiritual connection with all beings and all life everywhere.

Then as Einstein suggests we can gradually

“widen our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

Eventually, we won’t even need the Golden rule. As my beloved Guruji Shri Dhyanyogi revealed:

“If there is love in your heart, you don’t have to worry about rules.”

Ultimately, by following our sacred heart we will be in harmony with all life everywhere.

Invocation

So with opened and awakened hearts let us envision and actualize an Aquarian Golden Age wherein everyone everywhere treats all beings and all life with the same dignity that they wish for themselves – with an empathetic “genuine sense of universal responsibility that is based on love, compassion and clear awareness.”

And so shall it be!

Evolving ‘Out Of The Box’ Into The Light Of Creation

Individually and societally, humankind have been caught in a psychological box, self-created by mistaken perceptions and ego-mind ideas of separation from Nature and each other.

We’ve mistakenly regarded ourselves and others as mere limited entities,
rather than as limitless souls – spirit drops in an infinite ocean of Eternal Light.
And, our worldviews have been mostly based on such unrealistically reductionist ideas of who and what we are.

Thereby, individually we’ve been caught in a mistaken self-identity box;
and societally we’ve been “boxed in” by an outmoded Newtonian pre-quantum worldview. Though quantum science now knows that “reality” can’t be reduced
to objects or entities in space, we’ve kept acting as if this is so.

We’ve thus been self-limited by our mistaken ideas of “reality” and of our true identities, powers and potentialities –
which are infinite, though yet largely unknown and unrealized.

But, spurred by extraordinarily critical inter-personal and planetary crises,
and innately blessed with an intuitive evolutionary impetus in each us,
more and more people are realizing their true spiritual nature
and awakening with compassion from their egoically imagined limitations.

From seeing everyone and everything as discrete and separated by apparently immutable boundaries, we are gradually realizing that everyone/everything is connected by our common essence:
ever-changing energy in a matrix of immutable eternal Awareness.

We are evolving from a Newtonian “reality” of polarized duality
to a quantum “Reality” of holistic connectedness; from either this or that, to this and that are ONE. And so we are beginning to envision, intuit and implement
‘Out Of The Box’ solutions to current crises.

And as we evolve ‘Out Of The Box’ and into the Light of creation,
we shall soon reach a critical-mass tipping point which uplifts human consciousness to transcend and resolve crises arising from outmoded and illusionary egoic beliefs.

And so shall it be!

Ron Rattner

Ron’s commentary on evolving out of the box into the light of creation.

Dear Friends,

While long aware that “no problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it”, I’ve often wondered how individually and societally we can most effectively elevate human consciousness to resolve critical interpersonal and international planetary problems. And I’ve concluded that we need to be ever more loving and compassionate; that our love is ‘contagious’ and will inevitably bless and change the world as it gradually spreads to others, until ultimately we will reach a ‘critical mass’ tipping point triggering new societal worldview solutions to old problems.

So many years ago I optimistically began predicting in the foregoing essay that

“we shall soon reach a critical mass tipping point which uplifts human consciousness to transcend and resolve crises created by outmoded and illusionary beliefs.”

Yet paradoxically – and especially since election of Donald J. Trump as US President – it appears we are now nearer than ever before to ecological or nuclear disaster, potentially portending destruction of Earth life as we have known it. So, more than ever before, we urgently need elevated human worldviews to avert such disaster.

A century has passed since quantum science revealed to us that “reality” can’t be reduced to objects or entities in space/time. Yet we’ve kept acting as if this is so – clinging to a false Newtonian materialistic worldview that sees everyone and everything as discrete and separated by apparently immutable boundaries.

Three generations have passed since immensely destructive nuclear weapons were first developed, atmospherically tested, and savagely used by the American Empire against innocent civilians at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Yet these dreadful weapons have proliferated worldwide and now threaten our precious planet more than ever before. In a May 1946 letter to prominent Americans, Albert Einstein wrote:

“The unleashed power of the atom has changed everything save our modes of thinking, and we thus drift toward unparalleled catastrophe.”

Einstein foresaw that such “unparalleled catastrophe” could be averted only from levels of consciousness beyond those which created it; thus he observed that “the solution to this problem lies in the heart of mankind.”

After much deep reflection, and with unspeakable faith in the Sacred Heart of all Humans – which is LOVE – I have today optimistically reposted the foregoing essay with my intuitive ‘utopian’ prophesy of Humankind’s transcendence of current cataclysmic threats to life on Earth.

Maybe I’m a crazy “cockeyed optimist”, but I still foresee the imminent onset of a new age of nonviolent democratic societies which will advance the highest good for all life on our precious planet; I’m still “stuck like a dope with a thing called hope, and I can’t get it out of my heart!”

Perhaps, we’ve been karmically destined to suffer extraordinary and unprecedented 2020 coronavirus “new reality” ‘hard times’. But our suffering can prove to be an ultimate evolutionary impetus triggering our ‘breakdown breakthrough’ to a new worldview transcending the outmoded and illusionary beliefs which created current crises.

So I optimistically pray that we shall join together – each from our unique intuitive perspective – to fearlessly follow our hearts and ‘contagiously’ bless all Life as LOVE.

Invocation

With quiet minds and open hearts
may we thereby honor
the ultimate spiritual essence
of everyone/everything/everywhere
thereby uplifting human consciousness
to transcend and resolve crises created by
outmoded and illusionary worldview beliefs.

And so shall it be!
